A DAY OF SELF-DISCOVERY
ROMANCING YOUR CAREER PATH
USING THE MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR®

Socrates said “Know Thyself,” and if he were alive today he would counsel you to take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator because it unravels the mysteries of personality and makes meaning out of what William James once called “…the great blooming, buzzing confusion of the outer world….”  The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is based upon C.G. Jung’s theory of Personality Types and sorts for individual preferences in energy (extraversion or introversion); information gathering (sensing or intuition); decision-making (thinking or feeling); and lifestyle (convergent or divergent).  Knowledge of your preferences will provide you with the new ways of knowing you will need to begin the work of defining yourself – the foundational process of any meaningful and satisfying career.   The morning session will introduce you to the basics of psychological type and the process of identifying your own personality type, using both theory and experiential exercises.  The early afternoon session will immerse you into a more in-depth experience of your own type dynamics and development and your hidden or shadow personality.   The late afternoon session will offer you an encounter with the natural resistance you will experience during your career search.  Finally, we will ponder upon this question:  “If you had all the money, education, talent, housing, sense of place, family, friends, and romance that you ever wanted in your life, what would you do with the rest of your life?”

To be held on the first Sunday each month, 10:00am-5:00pm.
